Redemption Arc TOP 1 JANUARY 2022 LET Story
I am Lanvin Sean De Los Santos, Top 1 of the January 2022 Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) and I am a proud product of CBRC.
DISGRACED LASALLIAN SCHOLAR: That was how I described myself when I found myself in front of the National Teachers College for the first time. A few months prior to that, I was a scholar, expenses fully shouldered. If you think that it was a total waste, I would agree. It’s just that it doesn’t help whenever someone says it in front of me back then—and some actually did—but I knew it is not yet over– I can still stand up and run again.
Upon graduating from college, I went straight to teaching thinking that I will be taking the LET on March 2020. As fate would have it, the pandemic came and disrupted everything including the LET itself. That time, it was both a mix of relief and worry. I was relieved since I have more time to prepare, but at the same time worried because that would mean I have to wait longer for my license.
When the school year started online, I found myself having little time to review on my own. IT WAS A GOOD THING THAT CARL E. BALITA REVIEW CENTER (CBRC) DID NOT LEAVE US MARCH 2020 TAKERS HANGING, AS REVIEWS STILL CONTINUED. I made it a point to attend these review sessions set by CBRC as I know I wouldn’t be able to review otherwise. It would remain true for every rescheduled examination (September 2020, March 2021, and September 2021). Finally, my exam was scheduled on January 2022 and it got through. I AM JUST GLAD THAT I WAS ABLE TO NOT JUST PASS, BUT TOP THE LET. I can definitely say that CBRC HELPED A LOT, both directly and indirectly, in reaching the kind of success I had. I finally felt relieved upon passing. In anime terms, it’s time for my Redemption Arc.
I don’t really have something planned out in the future right now, but I guess it’s safe to say that I will be staying in this profession for the foreseeable future.
